Wednesday DIY Organization and Fun

Another Wednesday with more inspirational ideas ahead. I've been trying to figure a new way to store my necklaces with hooks etc.  I've gone through many different ideas, and I can't settle on one yet.  However, I have found a lot of inspiration from Gail Grady at A Fresh Start with her post Organizing With Hooks...They Will Hook You In.  She has a ton of fantastic ideas that use different … [Read more...]

Needing Inspiration

I really like to organize.  I'm always thinking of my next project.  Since I started this blog I've become even more excited about organizing.  I love how fun it is to read comments from people about how something I reviewed helped them.  I have some projects in the works that I can't wait to share with everyone. However, I'm in need of some inspiration in another part of my life.  After E (my … [Read more...]

Scheduling Me Time

People constantly ask me how I get "me" time in.  I guess my answer should really point to my wonderful husband.  He actually pushes me to go out with the girls or go to the store on my own.  Lately though it's been really tough. In organizing everything in your life I have to say that scheduling me time is so important.  Every mom, no matter if they work at home, work out of home or are a full … [Read more...]

Happy Momiversary to Me

This post is scheduled to be posted 6/25/10 6:04 AM PST 6 years 8 mo ago today I found out I was having my very first child. I had waited 28 years to be a mom. I knew right away that it was a boy.  I don't know why I just knew. I remember the first time I felt the flutters.  I'll never forget that.  It was just me and my baby.  No one else could connect with him.  It was just amazing.  I … [Read more...]

Organizing Your E-mail

Recently a teacher at J's school said to me that she rarely checks her e-mail because it's so overwhelming with all of the e-mails she has.  I told her that she inspired me to give tips on how to organize your e-mail. 1. Unsubscribe to Newsletters We all sign up for newsletters etc. to keep in touch or get the best coupons.  However, it clutters your inbox.  Be honest with yourself.  … [Read more...]

We Made a Big Step This Weekend

Image by Getty Images via @daylife My 6 year old son, J,  is deathly afraid of the dark.  So much so, that he won't go to a movie because of when it gets dark.  He.will.not.go. This unfortunately rubbed off on my 4.5 year old son, E, who also would not because he thinks he's afraid of the dark.  It's been a struggle for some time to take them to movies.  They just would not budge.  R and … [Read more...]

It’s the End of the School Year – Papers Everywhere

Image by pierre pouliquin via Flickr Today is a bittersweet day for me, and I'm sad.  My oldest, J, has his last day of Kindergarten.  I just dropped him off for the 1st day and we are at the last day.  I really don't know how I got here.  It all goes so fast. I'm going to undertake the project of going through my big box of papers that came home with him every week, and do some major … [Read more...]

Writer’s Workshop: Staring is not Caring

Who first told you that it’s not nice to stare? Write about a time you stared when you maybe shouldn’t have, or a time when someone stared at you. Please excuse the lack of organizational writing today.  It had to be done. I was reading Mama Kat's Writer's Workshop today and the subject touched me so much I began to cry instantly.  I admit I didn't read her story thouroughly because I … [Read more...]
