I Lost A Tooth

“I lost a tooth.  I lost somewhere.  I left it in my poket.  It disappererd.  I tried finding.”

J lost another tooth on Wed and I told him over and over again, not to take it out of his pocket.  Because my son is a kid who listens really well to what I say he played with it and lost it in my car.  He knew that he could write the tooth fairy a note as his first tooth was one he swallowed and he had written her a note before.

He wanted private time to write his note.  I decided not to read it until after he went to bed and I the tooth fairy could read it then.  I just couldn’t believe what I found.  I showed it to R and we just shook our heads marveling.

On a side note: J lost another tooth today (Thursday) and swallowed it.  He forgot to write a note, but we the tooth fairy decided to leave him something anyway**

Do you remember when you really believed in the tooth fairy?

**This morning J woke up crying.  He said he left a note for the tooth fairy and she didn’t take it, or leave him money.  I The tooth fairy didn’t see the note at all.  I The tooth fairy must feel so bad.  I The tooth fairy did leave him money though, and he eventually found it.  I promised him that the tooth fairy would come to get the note tonight.  Can you guess what the new note said?…….

“I lost it”  If he only knew how many notes like that I’d like to leave daily, but not in reference to my teeth.

My little bird keeps talking about the Tooth Fairy (got it from a recent Yo Gabba Gabba episode) and it made me realize I am SO not ready for her to lose teeth! Found you through SITS. Always nice to find another Valley Girl!

Candice, that’s too cute! It’s also really funny because I just wrote a post recently about how my son tried to wheel and deal the tooth fairy. I included a picture of his note in my post too. He’s 10 and was trying to get more than the typical $1 from the tooth fairy because he went to the trouble of actually brushing the tooth after it came it. Not sure I believe it, but the tooth fairy did reward his creativity!
