I’m in the mids
of getting my stuff together to pack for the BlogHer conference. Although I had it all planned out as far as clothing was concerned I really needed to get it all written down.
Stop thinking “are you kidding me?”
Love me for my overactive need to get it all right. I’m sorry, but it’s just who I am.
I thought for some reason you’d like to get a chuckle out of the spreadsheet, yes I said spreadsheet, I created laying out every outift, make-up and accessory I am going to wear.
Have you stopped shaking your head and rolling your eyes yet?
I know many people just pack whatever they open their drawers and find. That’s very admirable, but my absolute fear of forgetting something this time for some reason, has driven me to the edges of organized sanity.
Feel free to continue to wonder what kind of person is this obsessed.
Wow, I need to get organized. I have done plenty of shopping but no idea how it is all going to fit together! Plus almost every day requires two outfits! Goodness.

Start your spreadsheet now and then it makes it all the easier
i laid everything out (and tried everything on – that’s a must do, i did make a few changes because of the way things were fitting) but i didn’t go so far as to make a spreadsheet. i guess i’m hoping i remember how i planned to wear things together.

I made sure that I’ve worn all of the outfits to work so I can see what works and what doesn’t. There’s one shirt I’d like to replace, but it won’t be fatal if I don’t replace it. Trying on is vital. You have done a big part.

You are too funny BK. I think I’m more anal now that I have kids b/c I constantly feel like I have too many balls in the air.
Well, you know me: i’m shaking my head! Girlfriend, you’re going to NEW YORK CITY! They have stores there in case you forget something!
I’m less concerned about clothes and more worried about forgetting something like my business cards, my netbook, my badge, my wallet.
That being said, I have nothing to wear! You’re going to be so put together and I will be…not!

Cheryl sometimes I wish I could be more like you that way it wouldn’t bother me if I forgot something. I’m my own worst enemy, but at least I’m prepared. If it makes you feel better I think I threw out my badge, so I have to get a new one.
That’s just awesome Candice! I did something similar for our Colorado trip although mine was our itinerary (dates, times, places, addresses, phone numbers, cost/if we’d prepaid or not). I’m very impressed!!

omg, I am so glad I have found my organizing twin! Everyone thinks I am weird for the amount of planning I put into packing. I just completed my list for outfits to style for my upcoming trip to Jamaica. Whew, now I know I am not extra out of control and if I am, I am in good company.
