Wish I Knew: #VlogMom

Today’s #VlogMom prompt is from Kadi of Our Seven Seeds, and happens to be co-creator of BirthingHip (coming very soon).

What 3 things do you wish someone had told you about becoming a mom?

More #VlogMom:

Do you have any advice to the future moms with something you wish someone had told you? I’d love to hear it.

  1. Dude, omg. Same here with the bathroom – my husband gets all sorts of alone time in the b-room. Me, not so much. What is that?

  2. I TOTALLY apologized to my own mother for never letting her go to the bathroom in peace and never buying school lunch! LOL

I love your slides with the text – great idea!

  3. Ahh I am so with you on the discipline! It is HARD to stick to the “rules”. so hard.

  4. Seriously, the bathroom is a really, really big deal!

  5. I KNOW!!! You made the first 2 so fun (despite how annoying they are!) And the 3rd. consistent discipline is one of the hardest things.

  6. I don’t ask for much. But sometimes I just want to (literally) drop the kids off at the pool so that I can (figuratively) drop the kids off at the pool. KWIM? Yes. Yes you do.

  7. By the way I am in love with your necklace!

  8. Oh my goodness, the bathroom! My kids are older so they know they are in danger of losing an arm if they bang on the bathroom door when I’m in there but they ALWAYS knock. What is up with that? You haven’t needed me for the last 45 minutes but the very second the bathroom door closes you have a question you have to ask me?!
    Agree with all three!

  9. Love your three. The bathroom thing is SO annoying. I go alone, but I swear they save their fighting and calling my name and injuring themselves for when the bathroom door is closed.

  10. Yes. Yes. Yes! I understand all three. Especially #2. I’m so glad that they are old enough now that I can hide in my bedroom after I say, “Mommy is off now. Go ask Daddy.”

  11. Who would have thought our mothers would have known what they were talking about when they told us to please give them a break from being called Mom. If I would have known then what I would have known now, I would have called her Sheila.
