So I saw these shoes yesterday on T.I.L. Darling- the newest (and most affordable, in my opinion) in the boutique-brands-for-less websites – and I fell, well, head over heels.

They’re chic, they’re in my favorite color and they’re feminine without being girly. As I drooled all over my keyboard staring at them, I immediately began picturing myself wearing them out on the town. And then I realized that they were also work appropriate. AND would be knockouts with the right pair of jeans! I suddenly loved them even more as I realized how versatile they are – and I began planning my future outfits for them!
Paired with a feminine, printed blouse and subtle accessories, these heels pop – especially when paired with the perfect pair of jean leggings (not to be confused with jeggings, please – these are made with actual stretch denim as opposed to denim-colored cotton/polyester). My personal favorites, of which I own a pair in both blue and black, are the Stella Cropped Extreme Stretch Jean Leggings I’ve featured above from Express. If the price ($79) makes you cringe a bit, I’d like to assure you that mine have held their shape and stretch for well over a year now and are worn at least once, if not more, per week.
OK, back to the shoes…
My first thought when I saw these turquoise peep toes was about how they’d stand out for a night out and I love the idea of pairing them with a bright pink or coral dress. If you can find accessories that match the shoe color and/or dress color (I got lucky with the earrings and clutch I show above) all you need is a neutral-colored wrap or sweater on you’re ready to take on the town! Otherwise, gold or silver jewelry is a pretty and sophisticated way to accessorize this outfit.
I haven’t made them mine yet, these pretty little pumps. But I’m planning on it. They are a statement shoe, and one that speaks directly to my style soul. But when I’ve added them to my wardrobe you’d better believe I’ll be showing them off at work, running errands and out for a lovely dinner!
